1. What occurs in a typical Hypnotherapy session?
During the initial session, about 30 minutes is taken to review the brief questionnaire that was completed. This gives me the opportunity to know you better. During subsequent visits, the first 30 minutes of the session will begin with checking how you are doing, what has taken place regarding your goals since the last visit, and what you would like to focus on during the session. The hypnosis session begins with a slow, gradual induction to enable you to relax, while taking you into a deeper and deeper state of relaxation. As your breathing and heart rates slow down, the brainwaves slow down as well. Your body and mind is relaxed. Expect to feel revitalized and energized after a hypnotherapy session!
2. How will I feel?
Some people experience warmth and potentially some heaviness of the legs and arms, as well as a possible reluctance to move or speak.
3. Will I fall asleep?
You will not fall asleep during a session and will remain aware of everything around you. Your subconscious mind hears everything and you are aware of internal experiences.
4. Will I lose consciousness?
When you are in a hypnotic state, you are not literally asleep. You will hear everything being said during a session, even when in a state of deep relaxation. Should an external emergency arise, your subconscious mind will always bring you back to full waking awareness.
5. What happens in a normal hypnotic state?
You accept only the suggestions that are right for you. Prior to hypnosis, suggestions are discussed and are agreed to between you and the hypnotherapist. While in a hypnotic state, you tap into unconscious resources and insights you did not know you have. This is the opportunity for your unconscious inner resources to be highly receptive and for you to utilize this strength as a highly effective tool in the healing process.
6. How long is a regular hypnotherapy session?
Both in-person and online/virtual sessions typically last between 60 and 90 minutes.
7. Does this process work for everyone?
Hypnotherapy is highly effective for most individuals. In some instances, the individual may require more than one session. Some clients could experience a relapse and for some the experience may not be effective. This is all normal.
8. Is insurance accepted?
Insurance is not accepted.
9. When is payment due for each session?
Payment is due upon completion of a session or by pre designated arrangement.
10. What type of payment is accepted?
Check, cash, paypal are all accepted.
11. Can I be made to act or do things that I do not want to do?
This is a myth. No one can make you do or say anything you don’t want to do. Hypnotherapy is a gentle, loving process and hypnotherapists are trained to not judge. You will heal and change in your own timing.
12. Is there a cancellation policy?
Yes, please note there is a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you have to reschedule/cancel, please do so 24-hours in advance of your scheduled appointment. A $50.00 Cancellation Fee is applicable for cancellations received with less than 24-hours notice.
